Large Group Reservations

Tentative reservations will only be held for 4 days and only considered confirmed when either a pre-authorisation payment or a deposit has been made. The amount of deposit or pre-authorisation is based on the size of the group and will be requested on finalising the initial stages of your event.

Minimum Spend/Venue Hire

All private reservations will incur a minimum spend on food and beverage. This amount will be advised on your initial inquiry. Should you not make minimum spend on food & beverage a room hire fee will be added to your final bill to make up the difference.

Venue Hire

If you require your event to take place outside of the allocated time frame or over two meal periods your, minimum spend will increase to reflect this or a venue hire fee will be added to your final account. This may also be the case if you require a longer period than allocated to bump in/decorate. The allocated time of your event will be advised on initial enquiry along with minimum spend.

If you do require earlier access or a crossover of meal periods, please advise your event coordinator so that we can ensure this is possible. Exclusive events for Friday and Saturday night services or that require fittings and fixtures to be rearranged will attract a $1,000 venue fee to cover the cost of labour required pre and post event.

Deposits & Payment

A deposit is required to secure your booking and is non refundable from 3 months prior to the booking date for full exclusive bookings and 1 month prior to the booking date for partial space venue bookings.

Payment in full is required 1 week prior to your event. This amount will exclude any deposit paid initially. A 15 % surcharge is added on public holidays.


Accepted forms of payment include cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.


Please note a 1.5% surcharge will apply on the above mentioned card transactions.


We will only issue one bill per event and do not split bills.

Final payment of the bill is the responsibility of the host/organiser attending at the time of the event.

Food & Beverage

Menus must be confirmed minimum 2 weeks before your event. We will always endeavour to cater for any dietary requirements, this is made easier with notice. Please submit any dietary information along with the confirmed menu.

Pre-selection of wine and any specific beverages you wish to be offered must be submitted at least 7 days in advance of your reservation to ensure we have sufficient amounts to serve your guests.

All beverages will be charged on consumption. If you have a budget in mind, please specify this and we will do our best to inform you when this has been met.Final numbers of guests

We require final numbers of guests submitted on all group reservations 5 business days prior to the reservation. Please note this is the amount of guests that you will be charged for on your final bill.

BYO

Stray Neighbour does not accept BYO food or beverage.

We offer a selection of cakes for purchase/order for your event. Please inquire.

Cakes will attract a cakage fee of $10 per person

Decorations

Stray Neighbour welcomes decorations so that you can personalise your event if you have reserved a private space.

We have a recommended florist that we use and your event organiser can pass these details onto you during the planning phase. Please note that no items can be adhered/attached to any building surface or fixtures. Any damage caused to the property of Stray Neighbour will be added to the final bill for repairs to the business.

Access to the space for decorating will be advised by the event organiser and subject to operations of the restaurant prior to your reservation. All decorations/items will be required to be taken with you at the conclusion of your event.

Equipment Hire & Entertainment

Wherever possible we consider all requests for entertainment and equipment hire. Any equipment hire or entertainment must be discussed with your event coordinator prior to the event. All hired equipment must be organised to be taken at the conclusion of the event.

Cancellation Policy

Should your large group booking not go ahead, we require 30 days notice of cancellation. Should this not be provided a cancelation fee will be charged to the held credit card or deposit kept to cover the cost of loss.

Duty of Care

Stray Neighbour has a duty of care to its patrons. We practise responsible service of alcohol and have the right to refuse service of alcohol to any patrons we deem to be intoxicated.

Security

Though we welcome venue hire for 21st birthday celebrations, we do require security for these events. We will source 1 x security person per 50 guests and this cost will be added onto the final bill paid in full 1 week prior to the event.
